Spring-ish Cleaning

Today we are taking advantage of the warmer temperatures and spring cleaning the pigs bedroom. We get to have the windows open and everything! A few times a year we do a deep clean of the pigs’ bedroom including mopping the floors which are lined with horse stall mats.   This is the most durable flooring,  besides concrete,  that we are aware of.   It adds an industrial look, but it suits the room!

Keeping with the horse theme, today we sewed a cover for the futon mattress that the pigs sleep on. We just sew fleece blankets together like a very big pillow case.  This is the material that we have found that the pigs are less likely to rip.
