Winter Storm Ion

Here at Swine And Dandy, the recent storm dumped 17 inches on us.   Keeping the pig pods clear was an especially daunting task with the now 25 mph sustained winds blowing what seems like seas of snow.  If all that weren’t bad enough, the current temperature is -6 F .with wind chills between -20 and -30. Whew!

Will was kept from work today because Lansing is in a state of emergency indicating treacherous driving.  As if the three foot snow drifts in the driveway weren’t a dead give away…  Leslie was able to make the two mile trek to her workplace with little trouble.  The driveway was kept clear despite the massive snow drifts in the morning and mid afternoon.  As long as the pull cord on the snow thrower does not break again the driveway will continue to be clear.  Our motto is that it is easier to clean the driveway ten times a day than once when all the snow is done.  And it is!
